very cool

my http://live.yahoo.com/geektown2008/ site works via ubuntu live CD and
my logitech usb camera

does need flash 9 (annoying, so x86 only) but still shows potential..

tuxpaint: make nopango

TuxPaint, latest compiled almost perfectly on the iMac

two notes:

the pango libraries didn't seem quite right, had to exclude via

make nopango

after trying it out, it runs fine, but the screensaver doesn't work...

not good if the kids leave it running all day;

need to update the SDL libs, .9 installed, tuxpaint wants .12

squeaky iMac

picked up the binary squeak-vm 3.8 for ppc linux (latest is 3.9)

runs ok;

odd that the latest on the squeak site didn't have a ppc linux build :(

may need to start compiling more; perhaps put gentoo on the iMac ?
