Wii - mail + gmail

the "+" is the key....

FYI:
you can send email from a Wii that is internet enabled.

email looks like: w{16 digits}@wii.com

you have to authorize external email addresses using the interface on the Wii ...

here's the "+"

gMail has the alias feature:

"your.username+any.alias@gmail.com"

so you can "authorize" your single gmail account as multiple addresses on the Wii;

and so will appear as distinct addressbook entries.

I've chosen my.username+wii.name@gmail.com

Why would you want to do this?

the "envelopes" on the Wii have the name of the sender; so a single gmail account (parent) can send emails to specific users (kids).
